I find that 19 inch rims with tyres 235/30 front and 255/30 rear are very bumpy and noisy compared with 17 inch rims fitted with 245/45 tyres all round. Any advice on how to resolve or do I revert to 17

I believe this belongs in the W212 forum section. But any time you upgrade to a bigger wheel with a more narrow tire sidewall, you will compromise your comfort. Supposedly the big wheels, smaller sidewalls give you better sport handling, but the big wheels are more easily damaged, and you are more likely to have a tire become unseated after hitting a bump. Most people think the big wheels are more aesthetically pleasing. For a daily driver you are better off with smaller wheels, thicker tire sidewall especially if you live somewhere with potholes.
