Hurry - offer expires 7/31

1. They somehow think $101 more a month for a 2019 E300 is interesting - given that the car has changed little in three years, who would pay a bunch more?
2. No calculation or basis for the offer is included - so, you would have no idea what equipment is on this car or anything like that
3. They mention a $3,000 offer - they must have rolled it and smoked it, given how high the payment is on this mystery car
4. They incorrectly refer to my vehicle - it does not have the luxury styling
5. 39 months instead of 36 months AND the payment is that much higher
6. There are no hidden fees - thank goodness, because at $890 a month with $2,800 out of pocket, I'd sure hate to get surprised on anything else.
I emailed the dealer and told them to halt future insults via mail and email - they claimed that MB corporate sends these out and they have no control. I told them it is their signature, so they'd better figure out how to get control over something from "them" given the content.
Amazing that anyone would let this "promotion" into customer hands.
First, I just looked at a mid-priced E300 on my local Merc web page ($64,195), and it leases for $888 a month for a 39 month lease and $2815 down. Now, that's no rebate AFAIK, no negotiation, etc. So the lease price is in the ballpark.
And, you're getting it 4 months early, meaning you don't pay $3,156 in your current lease payments. Don't know where that is credited, if it is. But not paying the last 4 payments is certainly worth something. And you're apparently saving a $595 fee you'd have to pay if you gave them the car back at the end of the lease. There is currently a $3,000 rebate for 2019 models, which they indicated. I assume you'd be getting that as a cash rebate. Hopefully, it's not already included somewhere. Those rebates and lack of lease & fee payment add up to $6,751. If they gave you that in cash, and you started immediately with the 2019 lease, it actually sounds pretty darn good.
So, to be honest, to me it sounds about right. I agree, that with you having a basically identical 2017, probably in excellent shape, there is little reason for you to upgrade. Nevertheless, many people do, leasing a new, and pretty much identical, car every 2-4 years, and that is who the dealership is hoping you are.

I am leasing a 2019 E 450, 10,000 miles per year, 36 months, all in, including bank fee and NY Sales tax for $896.
At lease inception all I paid was registration, inspection and transfer of plates, less than $200 and first month's payment of $896, total less than $1100.
As I leasing a new 2019 MB, the disposition fee on my 2016 E 350 was waived. This is standard.
My MSRP was $70,205. I also added the two year service contract, $899 which is also included in the lease.
My car was special ordered in October, arrived in New York December 10.
I took delivery December 30 when my lease on my 2016 ran out.
Hope this helps you in deciding whether this is a good lease deal or not.

jhp, you have it right - not sure I got the best deal the first time, so acting like "only" $101 more a month is a good deal is ludicrous. (I fell in love with the green / brown color combo and really enjoyed working with the sales guy, so I think my current car was a mediocre deal at best... sticker on current car was just under $66K)
You guys are confirming what I thought when I opened the letter... thank you.
