Closing all Windows/ Sunroof
Hi All,
I have a W213 (2018), I have installed the Connect Me app (seems very limited), just wanted to know, can you close all windows with the key remote (I used to have a 530 BMW and it was just on the key, you just pressed the lock button for 5 secs or so and all the windows would close, and you could also open all windows by pressing and holding the unlock button), can this also be done on this car, I've tried and nothing seems to happen. It may be an optional extra which I don't have on the car.

Thanks will have a go when I next go for a drive, to see if it works, and how close I need to be. Is there a feature where the windows would automatically close if opened for a long period of time like 30mins when the car is stationary and not on, or when it starts to rain.

I believe so for your market, need to check your owner manual for “rain closing feature” or MBUK: https://www.mercedes-benz.co.uk/pass...er.module.html

I really wish it had the ability to open all the windows with the remote properly. The current method is worthless. It is really handy to open them all 2-3 minutes before you get in on a hot day and flush most of the superheated air. I bought a plug in module for my Corvette to do this and it is really handy. Alas, I haven't been able to find a similar module for the MB.

I understand the desire to cool the car really well, remotely, and opening doors and windows would certainly help with that. But MB would never allow us to do that with the phone, due to the possibility the car could be easily stolen. Same thing with just opening sunroof and windows, really.

I can understand it with the phone, but with the remote it should be allowed. Even 60 seconds can drop the temp a lot. On my Corvette I use it just about every time I drive it in the summer. I'm always within sight of the car and I can also close the windows remotely if someone walks up before I get there.
The reason I don't use auto is the fan runs too high for too long for my taste. I could do what CaptainE does but I know I'd just forget to set it to high before I left.

Climate style function
In automatic mode, you can select the following
climate style settings for the driver's and front
passenger areas:
- FOCUS: high airflow, slightly cooler setting
- MEDIUM: medium airflow, standard setting
- DIFFUSE: low airflow, slightly warmer and draft-free setting
Multimedia system:
> Vehicle >> Climate Control >> Climate Mode
> Select Driver and/or Passenger.
> Select FOCUS, MEDIUM or DIFFUSE.
[i] To feel the effect of the climate style, the AUTO function must be active

I was planning on getting a new 2020 E63 wagon and the 3 zone wasn't on my list. I came across a 2018 CPO at a good price and bought that instead. It has the 3 zone.
