I went the the local Audi dealer about 6 weeks ago to ask them about the RS6 and they didn’t have a clue about it.
I guarantee you that the average forum member, if not the average customer, knows more about the features and what's coming down the pike than the average salesman does. We /have/ to; it's our money!
True but if I owned a dealership and I had a salesman who was so Blaise about cars and a customer who was willing to fork out over 100k for one of said cars I’d fire him. Lol.
Gearfx, that red Audi you had, Nice car, beautiful, I think the styling of those was much more appealing than the merc. e class.
Thank you, I do miss that Avant sometimes. Been thinking about your E-Wagon ride quality woes, do you think it comes down to the air suspension in the rear making it not feel as good as your other W213s? Something I learned from driving pickup trucks is that sometimes they actually ride better with a load in the rear (but ride choppy when empty because the spring rates are high for expected payload). I'll have to experiment to see if the same phenomenon occurs with the air suspension in the wagon.

I do think it has something to do with the air suspension in the rear. Plus there has always been some vibration with this car. I'm going to complain about it at the 20K service I have coming up next week. I just hope they don't try to blame it on the aftermarket wheels because it's not them causing the vibration. It did the same thing with the factory wheels. I was driving my Cabrio tonight, that car just drives so good. If only the wagon drove like that.
Since we're talking about wagons, before I'd opt for the Audi, I'd have to consider the Panamera.....with all of its (fully optioned) $200k MSRP, aka Sexy Beast!
Mercedes E400 Wagon, Audi S4 Avant, BMW 135i convertible

My neighbour down the street has a blue one which looks gorgeous. Another neighbour up the street has a white E63s wagon which also looks great. I'm guessing another neighbour will get the RS6 Avant once it's available.
A lot of envy whenever I drive by all their driveways lol

Yeah, don't you just hate it when they leave them sit out in the driveway, instead of garaging them? The guy down the street here works, I think, at some sort of car sales place, because when he doesn't bring home a Mercedes, there's a couple different Ferraris he brings home, driving slowly, burblely, past my place, then parks in in the driveway. If I thought I could get away with it....... ;-)
