2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
Horrible thing. You’ll get through this. Maybe you should consider a E450 for your next car. The extra power and smoothness is really nice. I’ve drivin both quite a bit and like the e450 much better personally.
I 100% agree, welcome to Birmingham AL but the fact of the matter is at this point it really doesn't matter and there isn't anything I can do. It will end up on record that this happened and the conversation and statements made by the officer will end up getting to the right people via a deposition or another similar route. Regardless it will all pan out and there is nothing my wife and I can do except hope for the best results and to regain full function of our daily lives and for our everyday life to get back to normal hopefully within the next 60-90 days.

Dealer I work with normally is trying to get me a G550 with a January delivery, if they cant pull it off I will be going with an E63 or GLE, haven't started negotiations with the wife yet.

If you haven't driven the G and the GLE, 2 totally different rides... I so wanted a G a few years back, but after driving it i just couldn't do it. Too truckish.... if that's ok then have at it, maybe the new G is less truckish, I have not driven one....
The GLE is more care like but up in the air a bit... me being tall makes it easier to get into versus falling into a car... if you have GLE questions, feel free to ask away, im on my 3rd one...

I 2nd that on the ride quality of the G. Haven’t driven a new one so not certain if that has changed. That was one of my reasons for getting rid of it, even though I still love them and plan to own one again one day
Here is another great option if you can afford a G, then you can GLS and that’s rides like a S class and also has the technology and luxury as well

This is the right attitude. Concentrate on you and your wife and making sure that you both are and remain healthy. What an incredible incident. The driver of the other vehicle was clearly reckless so he will get his comeuppance. Hang in there, be well, and have fund with the new car hunt. Tell your wife that you both deserve whatever you want. Life is short; enjoy the ride.

any recollection on whether pre safe sound worked? also curious if you have the P3 package as that has the seat bolster that inflate to move you away from the door in the event of a T bone
