I've always been able to see my SMS text messages from my Android phone through the Comand screen. I've never been able to see MMS messages.

I've recently upgraded to have RCS chat messages, rather than SMS messages from my family members. The RCS messages do not show through Comand.

Does anyone know if Comand is capable of showing RCS messages from an Android phone? I assume yes, because Apple has had RCS available for years. If the answer is yes for an Android phone, is there a setting somewhere that needs to be changed so that Comand can display it?

Assuming you've done the Android Messages hack to "enable" RCS (I'd bet Google disables access to that dev/sandbox server), my guess is no. COMAND only displays SMS, as integrating RCS requires features and display capabilities that are not yet available - and I'd argue isn't available in any car platform.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I thought. I can confirm that our Subaru, that does pass through both SMS and MMS messages, will also not pass through the RCS messages.
