new E43 Owner, help!
Hello Guys
I have recently bought a W213 E43 AMG 4-Matic.
I don’t know for what reason the previous owner of the car has changed the wheels to replica 20” E63 Wheels I have attached a photo.
the sizes are:
245/35-20 on front wheel width 8.5
275/30-20 on rear wheel width 9.5
they have used spacers on front to stop the front wheel from rubbing the arm that holds the brakes system.
tire sizes are correct according to the research I have made. but the wheel width is not.
I was wondering if this setup would damage the 4-matic? or anything else? I dont want to change the wheels to factory ones, at least not now. because they will cost me $5,000 from the dealer.
and tire pressure is 33 PSI

The wheels are only 1/2" wider than standard AMG wheels for the size. As you say, tire sizes are standard. This is certainly fine with the 4MATIC, as it only cares about the outer diameter of the tires, which are standard. Tiresize.com lists the recommended wheel width for a Michelin 275/30 as 9-10", and you're right in the middle. Unless the current wheels cause any clearance problems, I see no reason to change them.

thank you so much. I feel alot safer.
and what if I use normal tires instead of run-flat, would that cause any problems?

No problem. Glad to help.
Most here will say you'll get a better ride and reliability with normal tires, instead of run-flats. Of course, if you do have a flat, you'll need a Plan B (road service, spare in trunk, good walking shoes, etc.).
