Locking the car automatically

Hi all,

Every now and then when I get out of my car it seems to lock automatically as soon as I shut the door. At first I thought it was because I was accidentally touching the handle, but it doesn't seem so. Is there a way to make this happen when exiting the vehicle?

My 2018 E400C doesn't do that. It's a feature I miss from my old Cadillac CTS.

When I close the door, I use the natural touch area to lock the doors. I have to be careful when closing the door if I do not want to lock the car.

When I close the door, I don’t use the door handle. It’s for opening the door.
To lock the car touch the pad or use the key.

If it locks when you don’t touch the handle, take it to the dealer.

Yeah it's only happened about 5-7 times since I have had the car in December, but didn't know if there was something that I was doing to make it happen because if so I would like to always do it.
