COMAND is a very old piece of hardware & software. It has reached its end-of-life. I don't expect any further software updates for that hardware.

COMAND isn't very old. Look at some cars from 10 years ago and you'll know what very old looks like.
The 12.3" screen has crisp graphics.

We are on version NTG 5.5 of COMAND. COMAND 2.5 was introduced somewhere around model years 1999 or 2000. The 12.3" LCD is not an integral part of COMAND. It is not unlike adding a new monitor to an ancient PC. It is just a nice addon to the underlying system. The hardware has changed over time, but the software is basically the same with periodic upgrades.
