2019 E450 - Make ECO mode the default

I know that about 99% of you folks would prefer to shut off ECO mode entirely but I was wondering if there is a way to make the ECO mode the default as opposed to the Comfort mode.
Thank you

Don’t think so. The issue of setting Sport as default has been discussed many times with the conclusion that it always defaults to Comfort.

There are third-party modules to do this.

Don't confuse the ECO setting for the transmission with the ECO setting that shuts off the engine every time the car comes to a stop. It's the latter that many of us dislike and have taken steps to defeat, but I don't believe it has anything to do with the transmission's ECO mode.

The E63 doesn't have an ECO transmission setting. I guess that's to make room for the RACE setting. I'm not sure what the difference is between ECO and COMFORT, which in the E63 makes everything mild. But we do have INDIVIDUAL, which can be tailored but defaults to everything the same as COMFORT. But even though C and I look to be identically set, they're different. I, but not C, allows "sailboat" or coasting mode, which seamlessly disconnects the drivetrain when no power is needed, such as when on a gentle downslope. (It is smart enough to keep the engine connected if the grade is steep enough for engine braking to be advisable.)

I'm either in I (for ultimate fuel economy) or S+ (for ultimate performance) most of the time. They really should offer a course in Dynamic Select.

Our ECO213 installed solution allows you to have the vehicle start up in individual mode each time.

I have the 2018 version of this module installed on my W213 and I love it. You can pick your default setting and the auto start/stop mode is turned on manually, instead of automatically. I had the module installed at a truck accessories shop and I assume that it is simple enough to install that you could go any place.

Now when I want sport, I turn it on and the same when I want eco mode.
