I totally get why everyone is worried about driving with no spare. I am presently shopping for tires to replace my runflats and will carry no spare. Here is my reasoning: First, I always have my cell phone. Second, I am a biker, have put over 200,000km on bikes over the years. On a motorcycle you not only have no spare, if you get a blow out on the highway your chances of going down (crashing) is 90%, your chance of being killed both you and your wife is over 40%, so do you think I get nervous driving with no spare? Here is what we bikers do: check your thread wear - never go below 2/32. CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE , or better still don't buy a bike without a tire pressure monitor. I intend to use these precautionary measures on my car and WILL NOT WORRY ABOUT MY TIRES. Again, to each his own, nothing wrong with a spare.
