2017 E300

2 batteries?

Have my 17 E300. Leaving for the winter and want to buy a charging tender. Is there a rear battery or just the engine compartment battery that I would hook the tender to? Many thanks

No rear battery. Just one starter battery with the connector for the tender and an auxiliary super-capacitor bank under the passenger footwell. Get a tender with a dedicated AGM mode. I have this one and it works great.

1. That's an old version of the CTEK I posted. Not as many features (like phases in the charge) and a lot more money.
2. I think that 12V connectors are disabled when the car is off. The jumpstart connector under the hood is the best bet for a battery tender.
