Active Assist Features Temporary Failure
I exited the interstate highway to gather my wits. I immediately scheduled a service appointment for two days from now via dealer app and then looked in the electronic owners manual for additional information. I turned off the engine hoping that might reset things. No luck. Tried again, no luck. So I proceeded with the expectation of driving manually the remainder of my journey (how gauche, LOL).
A few miles further I tried activating ‘cruise control’ for lack of correct term several times and everything began working. Everything worked normally for the remainder of the trip (about 2 hours).
Now I’m wondering if it was a one-off anomaly. Wondering if I should cancel service appointment? I’m planning to take a 6.5 hour drive in three days, which will the car’s longest road trip. ‘Jessica’ is a loaded E450 which I ordered Dec 2018 and delivered in April of this year. 6,300 miles so far. Appreciate your input on whether I should keep appointment or wait and see if it happens again. Have any of you experienced this? Appreciate your input.

Was driving in Vermont this past week. Snowing hard. Same thing happened to me. =
Next day everything was fine.
This proves "fully autonomous" driving is still a ways away.
