Unhappy My E300 Just Got Many Error Code...Again!?

Yesterday morning, I was going to have a cup of coffee. When I started the engine, several error codes were displayed. (Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, High Beam Assist...) They are all inoperative. I closed the prompt and continued driving. After that... when I wanna turn on cruise control, a new error code (Distance Pilot Inoperative) appeared.

Two months ago, I went to the dealer and repaired related problems. The dealer told me that the front cameras needed to be reprogramming and calibrate cause the front windshield was replaced. I paid close to $ 600 for this (okayyyy...)

But this time, these error codes reappeared for no reason, and even cruise control is dead. Does anyone have any idea on this?

Look at the bright side. It’s 70 degrees where you are.

Some Update: I just noticed the driver side window keeping trigger anti-pinch protection feature, which lost automatic windows (auto up / down) and can not remain completely closed (when window go up to the top, it will automatically drop to half position).

I don’t know if these problems are related to the weather... I recently moved and parked my car in the yard cause there was no free garage space. The climate in LA seems to be a little strange recently... sun shining during the day, and keeping cold & occasionally raining at night. (Lol ... maybe I just can't believe that so many problem have appeared for no reason ...)

Dealer is closed today (Sunday), so I have scheduled for tomorrow.

Below is the receipt from the last time visit dealer:

If same problem is recurring with only two months elapsed, should be no cost revisit. If dealer claims an additional “at cost” repair, compare fault codes documented for initial visit to those found at revisit. If relatively the same, argue for no cost repair and push for partial reimbursement or future credit of initial visit due to misdiagnose.

Have the E classes even been out in US for more than 4 years? Why wasn't this covered by warranty? Are you over mileaged?

Last time it was because I changed the glass that was not made by Mercedes. (This local body shop don't know the camera need to be re-programming)
So dealer thinks this is my cause, not a quality issue.

Sure sounds like a camera issue. Mine was misinstalled (when I bought it as a CPO), corrected under warranty.

event b229b97 stored, 50 occurrences performed visual inspection, windshield a little dirty not enough to cause issues, cleaned, noticed camera does not look right. r&r multifunction camera trim, found camera installed wrong, also plastic punch out cover from new install found camera bracket preventing full seating also found piece of paper jammed into unit in apparent attempt to steady the camera, removed paper and cover and installed camera correctly. performed calibration drive of unit.

How much did the new windshield cost? I once had a crack on the windshield of my Porsche and the insurance company referred me to an aftermarket windshield. When I checked with the Porsche dealer they told me that non-oem windshields would cause issues with the rain sensor and recommended against it. When I told the insurance company they agreed to let the dealer install it. Here's where the story gets interesting. The dealer didn't install it properly and it leaked about 6 months later. I was on road trip at the time and because it was installed by the dealer it came with Porsche's OEM warranty and the new dealer installed a new window for free.

ugh, sorry tangent, but I hate insurance companies and their windshield protection. They sub out their windshield claims department to these companies that then refer you to aftermarket companies, like safelite. But thanks for the tip, Ill know to talk about my rain sensing and distronic sensors when I need to replace it.

In Florida by law oem windshield replacement is fully paid for by the insurance companies. One doesn't have to even contact contact the insurance company since the state has an 800 number to report the loss and verify your insurance. My BMW went through a windshield & moisture sensor every 2 years or so due to heat stress cracks. I never had an issue getting a replacement with an oem piece of glass. That said, I used my favorite (not BMW) glass shop who purchased the parts directly from one of the local BMW dealers. BTW - BMW required proprietary windshield adhesive. I once had to wait 3 days for a shipment from Germany.

I had a similar issue with my 2017 E300. I did NOT have the issue putting the window up. I DID have an additional issue that the general acceleration seemed messed up. It was still quite drivable, but the responsiveness was awkward. The whole set of issues would come and go.

In my case there was a bad component related to detecting how far down I had pressed the accelerator, and that somehow had a ton of side effects.

Your results may vary. Good luck.

Final Update: Looks like MB still think all the prob because I replaced windshield. ok... I mean... every time I went to the dealer and service my vehicle, there always have a "multiple check term" on my receipt, so...does they even really check??? I really don't know why they didn't find the rain sensor problem when they last repaired the camera. They didn't find the rain sensor problem, so I still have to pay $ 200 this time, but I'm more worried about that if a similar situation arises in the future. like if there may have more issue they didn’t find out... it seems that I can only choose to return to the dealership multiple times and keep paying for the same problem.

ALL should have been corrected one time inclusive of comprehensive check for ALL fault codes.
