Help please (insufficient battery).

Hello dear members, I need help regarding smart entry issue since week ago I can't open the car door by touching the knop it only opens when using the remot unlock bottom and it shows in car settings ( insufficient battery charge). Any idea how resolve the issue thanks alot

Why not try putting the battery on a trickle charger for a day or so and see what happens. Perhaps the battery is bad too, you could put a tester on it and see if that is the case. If you live in a very hot climate that sure can kill a battery within 2 or 3 year for sure.

Thank you for the reply, actually Its not the case the weather is moderate all around the thing is I don't use the car that much plus it's parked in a underground garag most the time, what a trickle charger do you recommend

Thats probably why, battery is low on charge since it's parked a lot. I use a cheap Shumacher Battery Maintainer which will charge the battery although slowly but thats ok. A lot of people use Ctek's on their benz's. Either a auto parts store or Amazon or other online source.

Ctek trickle charger is amazing

A big thank you for anyone advanced me to use the ctek trickle charger my problem is solved thanks 😀 it's amazing product It worth every penny I advise you all to have one

Ya, with these cars Benz should probably include a charger with the Purchase of the car, lol. It's kinda a necessity if you don't drive the car a real lot to keep the battery in a good state of charge, even in that case though it is still a good idea to hook a charger up to the car once a month to bring the battery to 100 percent. I notice the dealers always throw a charger on most cars when they come in for service, I guess this is why because they know it's a issue.

I totally agree

Thank you 2012 merc again your advice helped me a lot 😊, you are absolutely right and by the way there a lot of car manufacturers are doing that giving trickle chargers with car it's a must for those cars with computers that runs 247 happy to have one no cheap but worth it 😀😀
