I priced out the rotors on fcp + akebono front pads and oem rear pads plus bowa sensors (oem supplier ) and it comes to $680 and you get a lifetime warranty from fcpeuro

Mercedes Benz of Pittsburgh sort of burned me here. Bought a CPO 2015 MB E400 w/27K miles and had it shipped to me because I was basically in the hospital for a couple of months. It had a pretty bad ding on the rear bumper, the front fascia was all scratched up and it had a completely hosed front passenger side wheel bearing. Otherwise, it's a great car, but I expected it to have had those things corrected and fixed prior to delivery. I know, my bad for buying sight unseen... I'm still planning on eviscerating them on their online reviews. Damn yinzers.

I have bought several CPO cars throughout the years and all had issues that a sensible dealer should've had fixed. However, if technical, all these issues were fixable under $1,000 USD per car + figuring out what's wrong so plenty of time obviously and if cosmetic, you cannot expect a flawless used car and almost anything cosmetic can be fixed and made even nicer than new (usually non OEM respray and parts alignment is better).
The last dealer was kind and offered me a $900 USD discount (without me asking) and replaced brake pads at their expense before the pick up.

I recently purchased a CPO 2016 W212. I feel like I got lucky here in comparison. I had an extended test drive in a gray 2016 w/MB-Tex and static LED lights 24k miles. I purchased a 2016 w/leather and the lighting package as well as designo paint for $2,000 more with similar miles. I received a work order with the car showing what was done during the CPO process. The car was delivered with new front brakes/rotors, 4 new Continental OE tires, a replaced sun visor, and an alignment. We found that the parking brake would not release and there was a bit of abnormal wear on both the steering wheel and the weather stripping, and there was a very, very small nick on the back of the driver headrest. They repaired the leather wheel and even the pin-head sized nick on the headrest and replaced the weather stripping on all four doors as well as replacing the parking brake mechanism.
All in all, this seems like the proper experience.

Coming from driving Infinitis for 20 years, the MBUSA dealership system is the wild west. Infiniti was very consistent from dealership to dealership. They even all used the same computer systems, run by Infiniti. With MBUSA, your local dealer may provide service worse than the local Kia dealership, but MBUSA doesn't care. If you can find a dealership with an excellent service department, MBs are great to have. Otherwise, run away. I drive past multiple dealerships to go to one with an excellent service department. Seeing the cars there (especially commercial), I'm not alone.
