Was wondering if anyone knows if I could just replace the this trim if so if they know the part number or would I have to replace the whole center piece
Try to get it replaced under warranty. MB does not offer trim separately it is incorporated into stowage compartment part # 2136802907. New $89.70 https://www.mbpartshq.com/ alternate find cheap sacrificial used (broken) part looks as though bright surround trim can be swapped.

Must be a weak area. The 2018 E300 I was loaned for a day had the trim broken around the door cover, resulting in a very sharp area. And very thin trim.
