designo Macchiato Beige/Saddle Brown Nappa interior

My E450 Wagon has this interior. I think it looks just super and the detail work is of the highest order (the two color stitching in the dash always amazes me). However the carpet guy cleaned the beige floor mats today as he does quarterly. They get filty even in a desert situation were we have no dirt, just rock dust. The cargo area has the standard BLACK MB cargo liner. To say it looks out of place is the most charitable thing I can say. I have since I got the car wanted to replace the cargo liner and floor mats with something that would complement the interior and not in the case of the mats require regular washing. I saw C&D put in WeatherTech mats in their long term test car to solve the problem, but I don't want or need plastic floor mats. I was thinking cocoa or sisal or seaweed would look good. I presume I am not the only person who has this issue and maybe someone around here has come up with a solution they could share. Thanks.

I’ve used Cocomats for my last 5 cars - both the original cocoa and the sisal. They hold up great and look great. I think C&D should be flogged for putting those plastic tubs in such a nice interior.

I got Cocomats for my 2020 E450 Wagon with the Yacht Blue/Macchiato Beige interior. The mats are the #04 mostly blue, with natural (beige) "dots", and I think look very good. The beige mats that came with the car are stored, having been used less than a week. They stay in place and work well. I agree: plastic mats have no place in my cars.

I have the same Designo interior as you have but in a sedan and had the same issue. Issue was resolved by purchasing from Lloydsmats "ultimate mats" in saddle color (product number 646). Worked directly with company and they sent me actual sample carpet pieces of what they thought might work. Of the 7 or 8 choices they sent me I thought their saddle color was a very close match with the saddle interior portion of the interior (looks closer in color in actuality than this photo makes it look). Here's a link to their customer service. customerservice@lloydmatsstore.com

Excellent. Thank you, especially for the picture. I started this project once before and remember the Lloyds name, but it would never have come back to me without a search. I was looking at Cocomat's sisal mats this morning. Did you replace that tremendously unattractive black cargo mat also. I still can't believe MB has the gall to sell this 5K USD interior with the black mat. Also glad other people thought the C&D magazine plastic mats were a bad idea. Your idea is a good one.

Hundens: My car is a sedan so no cargo mat. Looking at their web site it appears they have cargo mat also. Suggest going to their web site Lloydsmatsstore.com They are not manufacturing right now due to California mandated Covid-19 shut downs but may be responding to email or possibly phone inquires...see my previous post for their customer support email address.

I liked Lloyds mats, but I wanted blue with my Yacht Blue/Macchiato Beige interior, and their blue was too dark (very dark colors show up stuff almost as much as very light). As mentioned above, I ended up with the Cocomats, and am very happy (posting a pic below). As the black mat in the back of my wagon too, it is, after all, an additional protective mat; the carpeting and finish in the back is all beige as well, and looks very good. My thought is they gave us a black mat to use when something would stain or dirty the beige too much. Having another beige mat on the beige carpet, to me, makes as little sense as the beige floor mats in the front. When I want it to look good, I can take out the black mat. The rest of the time, having it is a good thing.

I don't see a fastener on Lloyd one, and just a pin thru a hole on the coco one. Correct?

There is a built-in fastener on the Cocomat which holds in in place; it's not just a pin through a hold. Holds it in place well, plus it's much heavier than a regular mat, so no problems with it moving. I like that it lets dirt fall through from the top, but unlike the original coco mats, it has a rubber bottom layer to retain the dirt. So it stays cleaner looking, even when dirty.

I’m really interested in the yacht blue / macchiato interior, would you be so ever kind and post some more photos of your interior please?
Thanks

The Lloyd Ultimate mat has a similar fastener to the OEM mat.

hi i just ordered the black and grey coco mats for my wagon. i really do not like the rubber ones i've been using for the winter.Does anyone know how the coco mats hold up in winter conditions with slush salt and snow. i do have the nylon plush ones that came with the car but was hoping to use the coco ones year round.

Mats are only 8 months old and I drive less than 4000 miles a year so too early to say how well they wear.

Here are a couple pics from when I first picked up the car.

I'd say the blue is slightly less bright in person. I really do like it, and feel it's the best looking color combination available. I do like that the drop-top (and maybe coupe) include blue carpeting and mats, though, would have preferred that, but not available in the sedan or wagon. The blue continues into the back storage area as well.

Whoa, horsey. If the cab/coupe with the beige/blue interior has blue carpet/mats, then the cab/coupe with the beige/saddle interior should have saddle carpets/mats. Which means there are OEM saddle mats at least for the front seats, and maybe the back seats.

But I think the mats are different on the cab/coupe than on the sedan/wagon. Plus, there's lots of brown carpeted mats available, like Lloyds, but few blue ones, and none I've seen that match the OEM blue mats and carpet.

.
I love that shade of blue. A few years ago one could get the entire interior done in blue nappa leather. If offered, I'd buy it in a New York minute.

I keep mine in year round and they hold up well. In the Spring, I usually take them out and clean with some soap and a scrub brush. Then they look and smell like new.

Thanks for your comment.Do you have much of a winter where you live. here in Nova Scotia we have a lot of wet snow and slush and the roads are heavily salted...
