2017 Mercedes-benz E300 4matic Sedan
Third time replacing my blind spot sensor

I’m having an issue with an error message “blind spot assist inoperative”. It is a 2017 e300 sedan. First time I got the message I had a used sensor put in which fixed the issue for 1 month. After that it went bad again. This time I got an OEM brand new sensor from Mercedes and it went bad in ONE DAY!! Now there’s no point in swapping the sensor cause it’ll only work for less than a month. Anyone know what could be the issue? Mercedes wants to charge me just to look at it because the car was bumper tapped in NYC a while ago which caused no issues. Any suggestions on what might be causing the new sensors to go bad? Appreciate the help

Check connections starting with bumper harness given circumstances.
