E220d AMG Cabriolet
If anyone is thinking of getting one of these units, you my want to consider the Carlink V2.0 version. It seems to preform a lot better than the Carplay2Air version. The lag is considering reduced on the Carlink version.

Pairing teo phones?
Thanks for the information. Does anyone know whether it’s possible to pair two different iPhones with this device? My wife and I both drive our E 300 so it would be nice if we each could use it without having to pair our phones when we change drivers/phones.

Geoff Quattromani on CarExpert here in Australia also did a review. Looks good if you're after a wireless solution

The posted video review of the Carlink v2 was very positive. The bad news is that I haven’t been able to find it for sale in the US. Amazon seems to have it for Audi and other brands but not for Mercedes 213, although there is supposed to be such a version. Anyone have ordering information?

Don't quote me, but ... they look the same.
Don't quote me, but CarPlay2Air and Carlinkit seem to be the same product. I may be wrong but they seem to share the same update website and the same instruction booklet.
Not sure why some sellers are showing this item as vehicle specific when it not. Carlinkit confirms it works with 98% of cars (including all Mercedes with CarPlay from 2017)

You tend to find this with Chinese products they look very similar. The difference with the Carlinkit version it uses a USB A to USB C connection where I think the CarPlay2Air is a USB A to hardwired connection. I think the transfer of data is improved by having the USB C connection. Also (someone correct me if I wrong); you cannot use the steering wheel controls on the CarPlay2Air whereas you can on the Carlinkit. You can also still plug a sync/charger lead into the module; so don't completely lose a USB port.

Thanks. Just ordered one on Amazon. Says it’s for Audi but presumably it will work on my 213. I may have paid a little more on Amazon but it’s arriving Monday and I can return it if it doesn’t work.

I have a CarPlay2Air and it works fine. Only odd thing is that it disables my dynamic seat bolsters when the car starts up with Apple Play. I just have to press my seat memory button to reactivate my bolsters. Overall, I like it since I don't have to plug in my phone. I'm driving 2017 E46

Carlink 2.0
My Carlink 2.0 from Amazon arrived early- in three days. Connecting it was a breeze. I haven’t tried all the functions yet but so far so good. One question: it’s supposed to work with the steering wheel buttons. If I’m using Google Maps or Waze and press the talk button on the steering wheel to enter a destination, Carplay goes away and the MB navigation screen replaces it. Is this normal? Is there any, while usng Carlink /carplay/Waze or Google maps, to enter a navigation destination using the steering wheel talk button and have it remain with Waze or Google maps?

I can answer my own question. I wasn’t pressing the talk button long enough. You have to push and hold it for a couple of seconds or the system reverts to the MB screen. Here are a couple of more questions:
when I push and hold the steering wheel talk button, I get Siri. I ask for navigation directions and a map comes up. Is there a way to control whether that map is from Google maps, Waze, etc?
one gripe I’ve always had about the MB navigation is that there is no list view possible. I like to see where the navigation is taking me. You can get a map which shows the general route but you can’t tell which streets it’s taking you on in a city, for example. I’m trying to find out if Google maps or Waze have this and, if so, how to access it. Anyone know?
Thanks. So far, two hours after installation, I’m very pleased with the Carlink.
