E400 vs E43
Apologies if this has been addressed, but from what I am able to find, the main difference ( aside from aesthetics ) is the E43 has a different tune, and a sportier suspension.
Reason why I ask is, I'm looking at picking up an E400 wagon, and would enjoy making it into an E43 AMG clone of sorts ( the tune, wheels, etc )

Performance wise I think the E43 got different turbos - I have been trying to research the same, my concern is just the limitations on the gearbox (torque) - I haven't been able to find any actual numbers as I am contemplating a 400 vs 450. If only the US would get the E43 wagons....

Racechip sells a chip E400 with very easy hookup for a few hundred dollars, will bump up hp significantly. You can also easily disconnected it. It does not modify ECU. Check it out.
