I know it’s a crazy idea, but on the one in a million chance, I thought I’d reach out.

We have a 2019 E450 Wagon with Piano Black “Flowing Lines” wood trim, which is flawless. However, with our Saddle & Cream interior, I would prefer the standard Burl Walnut trim. Might anyone wish to swap? The walnut is a no cost option, while the flowing lines is a $1300.00 option. I’d swap straight across, we each pay our own removal/installation costs. PM me if interested. I am in Orange County, CA. I believe, but do not know for sure, that the trim is the same for the sedans. We would have to check part numbers.

This is our car:

This is the trim we want:

Not a project easily undertaken but I can understand where you are coming from. You might also consider the open pore matte brown wood.

Thanks to those who contacted me, but I have decided that it is too big of a job and that I am going to leave the wagon as is. The black, flowing lines have actually grown on me as well.

Great decision
I was in the same boat as you. Was not a big fan of the glossy bur walnut but it grew on me in time. It also helped that it scared the crap out me to go at it with a pry tool.

what you have is good and rare enjoy it.

Ya, I really like that black flowing line wood, it is different especially with the int combo. I'd think there'd be a big risk of damaging a panel removing them.

I love the burl walnut too, it's the classic, but I think what you have is beautiful and I wouldn't touch it. That interior is gorgeous.
