Lane keep assist, brake assist, and steering pilots stopped working
I was driving in highway, turn radar on and the speed is set for 140km/hr with steering pilot on. After almost two hours i heard a ring from the car then the messages attached kept coming.
I slow down parked the car turn it off and wait couple of minutes turn it on and start driving after 20 secs everything came back to normal.
What is zusually the reason, i drove for an hour after that with no issue at all.
There are several details on limitations or reasons in the manual section Steering Pilot which is page 165 in my 2018 C238 manual.
The system may be impaired or may not function
in the following situations:
* If there is poor visibility, for example, due to
insufficient illumination of the road, or due to
snow, rain, fog or spray.
* If there is glare, for example, from oncoming
traffic, direct sunlight or reflection (for exam‐
ple, if the roadway is wet).
* If the windshield is dirty, fogged up, damaged
or covered, for instance by a sticker, in the
vicinity of the camera.
* If no, or several, unclear lane markings are
present for one lane, for example, in a con‐
struction area.
* If the lane markings are worn away, dark or
covered up, for example, by dirt or snow.
* If the distance to the vehicle in front is too
small and the lane markings thus cannot be
detected.
* If the lane markings change quickly, for
example, lanes branch off, cross one another
or merge.
* If the road is narrow and winding.
* If there are highly variable shade conditions
on the road.
* If there are obstacles such as object markers
on the lane or projecting out into the lane.

thanks for the reply, I faced what is call sand storm almost 30 minutes prior to the warning( to explain it better the road is not clear because of sand is moved by wind for almost 20 minutes )
I am just wondering are they all related, that's why if one is unavailable both will get affected. the road was clear when it happen.
Update, couple of workshops here asked to do computer check with the cost of $$ and they asked me to replace some sensors without checking the car yet. One guy told me usually things like that happen if the auxiliary battery is not working well.
He is leaning toward the idea of the sand storm covering the radar, and the lane keep assist sensors in front window. then in the highway the lanes were faded that's why all three turns off. He asked me to wash the car and test drive it for another highway ride and see if it pops up again or not before I start spending **** load of money in check ups.
