Took a 2021 E350 out for a spin yesterday. Compared to my 2018, i dont think there was much of a difference. Not that i took it out on the backroads carving corners, but I wouldn't do that in my 2018 anyways. If anything, the car had Pirellis which I liked over the Continentals.

Another point of view is, unless my 2018 came straight out of the factory with 10 miles and I drove it back to back, any new car with fresh tires would drive much better.

But long story short - I wouldn't say one was magical vs the other.

My 2019 E450 comes off of lease in December 2021. Presently it has less than 12,000 miles because of Covid. I have Pirelli Centurato P7 RF on the car. At least 60% of tread wear is left.

I see little to no difference between the 2019 and 2021. If I were to get a 2021 at the end of my lease I would configure the car exactly the same including the color silver.

Depending or market value vs. residual this is the first Mercedes I have on lease that I would consider buying at lease end.

I too have the 2019 E450 in the beautiful Dune silver metallic (not offered in 2021). Other than the touch screen and MBUX (we have it in my wife's 2020 GLC, no big deal for me) what disappoints me is the funky steering wheel and the lack of the analog clock; which was really classy and handy to look at a glance. The lack of interior colors also disappoints. If i were you, I'd buy out your lease.

I just had a 2021 E350 as a MB loaner for 4 days with the 4 cylinder engine. While the car is quiet on the highway and has adequate acceleration, the engine noise when accelerating is very coarse and in my opinion a bit unrefined as compared to the new in line 6 cylinder. As a matter of fact, the engine noise was a bit louder than earlier 4 cylinder E300 models that i have driven. Its gas mileage is good. The interior had quite a few rattles coming from the glove box and rear right area for a car with less than 1500 miles. Hopefully, this was an exception to other units.

I'd like to hear from any 2021 E Class owners, especially if you had a previous E class. Is the 2021 really that much "better" than previous years? I will be shopping for a CPO E Class soon and am trying to decide on what year models I should focus. I was leaning toward an E400 or 450 but would consider an E300 or 350 but don't want to be disappointed.
