I had to uninstall/reinstall the Android app to get the latest version. Still nothing to write home about, confusing navigation, and it seems some features disappeared.

The new UI I suppose is subjective. I like it and don't find it hard to navigate. No easier or harder than the old app, just a fresh coat of paint for the most part and some minor reorg. The bigger improvement over the old app is that it is more reliable. While not all features have been carried over yet, the ones that are there actually work so far. Many of the features in the old app didn't really work properly. The old app showed stuff that wasn't actually supported by the car. For example my rear brake pad sensor triggered a couple of weeks ago before I had updated the app. It still showed the brakes were fine in the app, so totally useless. The new app now no longer shows a brake status for my car. Only the brake fluid status. The new app is supposed to properly hide features that are not actually supported by the car. For us iOS users, we can finally send navigation destinations to car again by sharing them from other apps such as Google Maps. This feature had mysteriously disappeared in the old app with a recent update, and the notifications now actually seem to work. When I park my car and don't lock it, I so far consistently get a notification in the app. With the old app I sometimes did and sometimes didn't. The new app also shows geo fencing notifications, which the old app never did. I have a geo fence setup around my dealership and indy, so I know when the car is taken out and comes back. Previously I got delayed notifications in my email, but now I get notifications directly on my phone. It is somewhat sad that it took a whole new app before the features actually worked as designed, but I take it.

I'm having the same problem ('20 E450, new app). Maybe we need to go back to previous version of the app. I also tried turning off the motion sensor under Vehicle settings. But as soon as you leave and lock, it turns back on. Solution anyone?

Yeah, I have a MY 20 GLC and I used to like looking at the ECO dashboard online and it says it has moved to the app, but nowhere to be found.

Thanks jhpmbusa for the heads up. I noticed yesterday that the app was updated, but I think "vehicle alarm" was just added today. Can't wait to try it out.

hmmm, I don't see vehicle alarm anywhere but do see all sorts of new stuff. One thing that kinda intrigues me is "Parking for App" it says coming soon. Could this possibly be remote parking pilot? That sure would be nice. Pretty amazing though all the settings that you can now change with the app like Dash design styles and ambient lighting settings, etc.

The update is a definite improvement. For me, the most welcome change is that Face ID (iOS feature) started to work again for locking/unlocking the vehicle. MB tech support had me reinstall the app to fix Face ID not working before this update came out. It worked for a while and then stopped. Here’s hoping it’s not a pattern.

Locking a Running Car

Any ideas on how to over ride this feature?
I haven't tried this with a Mercedes, but I used to have to do this to warm up my frozen Volvo which had no remote start.

1. start car
2. roll down driver window
3. from outside, reach in and push the door lock button
4. Activate the window up function--pull your hand out quickly

We have a pit-stop mode built into our SmartKey Starter aftermarket remote starter system that would allow you to do exactly this, if you were interested in exploring this further. Also, worth mentioning, our remote start solution is significantly more stable and reliable than the MB factory option. Check out our coverages HERE.

Anyone find a solution to the 'covered car' photo ? Updated my iPhone from 13.5 > 14.3 and no longer have the picture of my S63 Coupe, but a generic covered car. Reinstalled and went through vehicle info and still the same... not a huge deal obviously but was nice to see my baby when I was away and started the app!

Current version 3.03 Mercedes Me Connect, car is a 2020 S63 Coupe

Yes, complain to Mercedes me connect support. I had the same issue, and opened several tickets about it until finally my car started to show up. I had the same issue in the web portal and both are showing my car now. It definitely improves the experience seeing your actual car, especially since the portal was showing a covered SUV for me, which is not even remotely close to my C63S coupe. The phone app at least showed a coupe looking like covered car, so if I squinted I could just pretend it was mine .

For clarity, you're not referring to the "parking spaces" function, which my version of the app has?

Exclamation Mercedes me Connect app issue/ Windows, doors, engine on.

BMW and Audi are light years ahead of phone and app connectivity. I’m sure MB will do the same eventually.
Interesting that this was already an issue years before and still existing now. I activated my Mercedes me Connect app 1/2 and somehow after a recent software upgrade (automatic pushed in my GLB 2020) the window and door kept showing as "open." So this obviously would not let me do remote engine start. Since app thinks --windows are doors are open, ENGINE ON. I've contacted the support for meConnect at least 10 times for a few weeks. They had me reset the app, reinstall, toggle a few buttons, they even deactivated and activated my services. long story short-- no one has a clue on the "front end" support. They even messed it up more that it just says "INCOMPLETE CONFIGURATION." Everything is supposedly activated. But it says "ACTIVATION IN PROGRESS" for about a week now. So I do not see any info such as trip data, services, engine, lock, etc. It's such a buggy epic fail! I called to follow up and was told by different representatives "the hermes module needs to be replaced you should take it to the dealer" or that "the app should work in 3-5 business days" "wait for it to refresh so the satellite will see it in 24 hours after you start running/driving your car" and my favorite is "we do not have a way to contact the back end of tech support, they are working on it you should hear back from them." Which means wait weeks or forever, and maybe hopefully someone is truly working on this. No status, no feedback, no update calls. This is frustrating.

Mercedes Me feels like a half-baked afterthought. Almost as if MB is just checking a box to say they offer connectivity features.

I've built products from the ground up and managed ongoing development of existing products. From my perspective, it seems as though the Mercedes Me product team is either under-resourced or poorly managed. Likely a bit of both. Some of the design decisions seem odd. It has a design-by-committee feel. Wouldn't be surprised to learn that the Mercedes Me product roadmap and design has to filter through tons of bureaucracy, with each layer feeling the need to make changes whether warranted or not.

But who knows. All speculation on my part of course.

Add all of the various regulatory agencies in the jurisdictions where the cars are sold. It is no less than bureaucracy from hell with a splash of Catch 22.

I agree. and even worse; over the past 4 years i had the car, they've take more features away than they added!

I am not a Tesla fan, but their "connectivity" puts MB to shame!
