AD-Blue issue
Hello all, hope everyone is ok, I did put a post on here few years ago, and here I am now wanting some advice please.
I have owned a 2017 reg Mercedes W213 AMG Premium pack for the past 2 years I have had it serviced in December last year, so is due a service now.
Couple days ago my engine management light came on, it did not cause me any problems however since I've never had an engine light on I called out MB breakdown, the technician was having some problem with connecting to the AD-Blue module/controller so told me to limp-in to the dealership.
The following day I get a call from the dealership to say do I authorize a diagnostic charge which was something like £150? I asked why this would not be covered under the warranty, apparently my warranty ran out 3 months ago, (I was not aware of this).
So now I've given them the go ahead and also since my car was due a service I've asked them to carry out a service on the car.
My question is has anyone been in a similar situation?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you
11.30am I've had a call from the dealership and I have been told its the AD-Blue tank that would need to be replaced (some sensor within the tank) , and its costing just for the tank £1,500?
what are the chances Mercedes would pay for this since its out of warranty by 3 months?
Thanks guys

Speak with MB direct. Normally deciding factor is if vehicle is maintained by MB dealer (warranty work, maintenance, etc.)

You do not list your location but MB Customer Assistance Center, MBUSA is 1-800-367-6372.

This is a great site for MB info but with your question you are more likely to get real UK owner feedback from somewhere like MBclub in the UK.
