“Where are you, little star???”
Just saw this today: https://www.automobilemag.com/news/2...s-latest-benz/
It brings back the memory of the 1958 Rock classic “Little Star,” by The Elegants. In that song is the line “Where are you little star?” My thoughts exactly! WHERE is our ELEGANT, little star these days? Such an iconic, elegant, historical, designator of refinement, quality and good taste. That little star that one sees as they point their beloved Mercedes-Benz down the road, secure in the feeling of comfort, protection and performance of this legendary marque. But, the geniuses at MBUSA have now flushed that all down the toilet, demanding that any resident of the USA that wants a new E Class, march in lockstep and take what they alone have “approved “ for us. Idiots!
I have never liked the AMG “Sport” model trim on sedans or wagons and hope there will always be an alternative, which for now is our 2019 wagon.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
That's the main reason I decided to keep the mileage low and my wagon in really good shape as I think it'll hold it's value well going forward and it's a long term keeper as this car will never come along again.

... or you can retrofit the grill yourself:-)
The missing of the horizontal chrome grill on the 2021 model is not going to keep the prizes up on a 2019 with such a grill -

I like the white W124 in the background - was this intentional?

I think chances are that they will look to other brands before they look to used cars. In my opinion, then its not the same people that look at new cars, that all of a sudden looks at old cars.

Other brands don't really make the regular wagon other than those all road type deals like the Audi and the Outback. With low miles, I think the traditional Benz wagon will hold it's value well so thats why I'm not worried having my car as kinda a garage queen. That W124 in the background just happened to be there, I can't even remember where this was the picture was taken, it was over 2 years ago when the car was fairly new before I put the aftermarket wheels on the car and tinted the windows.
