W213 2016 battery interior lighting drainage overnight

Hi All

In need of help (battery drainage from some interior lighting coming on while car locked overnight) please

Ive had this 2016 W213 e220d a year and it’s been an issue from the start. I get the (battery low message see owners manual) most mornings...non MB garage replaced the battery after my first month (after plenty of calls) and all was fine....start/stop started working and no battery messages for a month.

Ive noticed while the car is locked overnight that some interior lighting is coming on.... footwell lights, door catch lights, light around the door electric seat buttons and steering wheel lights.

Has anyone had or heard of this please, might be something simple or a setting Ive missed.

W213 e220d 2016 car is locked but some interior lighting comes on overnight 😩 draining the battery.

Thanks in advance

They shouldn’t light up... could it be some wires that has been shifted to have constant power? Some people fiddle with these wires if they want constant power to the 12V outlets(if they want stuff running there when the ignition is off) they might have taken the wires that runs interior lighting and put them on constant on by mistake.

just a guess though - my knowledge on this topic is limited

Goodness. You definitely have an issue. Somebody messed around with something. When the car is shut down after turning off the motor, and getting out of the car, everything should be shut down. I lock the car even in the garage to shut down the telemetry which i figure drains the battery. Time for a trip to the MB dealer as much as i am reluctant to say that.

I remember seeing an option in the vehicle setting under lights? There are option of how long the light should stay on.. 15 secs/30secs etc..
Have you looked into that? Regardless, those lights should turn off after some time any way.
