How to remove engine cover on 2019 E450 Wagon
On my 2019 W213 E450 Wagon, I'm trying to replace my factory air filters with KN performance filters, but can't find any tutorials on removing the engine cover(s). There are intake hoses on each side, but also one in the center. Can anyone provide direction?

Ya there are clips on the air intake tube that goes in right at the front of the engine cover, Gentley push in the clips with both hands and pull out the tube, Be very careful with the plastic clips, they snap off easily ask me how I know. Then then engine cover just lifts off. undo the screws on each air box and lift off the cover with tube attached and place in new air filters being careful to make sure they are lined up properly. I got a pair of air filters think they were 20 bucks on Amazon, cant remember the brand but they work fine. I wouldn't waste the time with a KN, you will notice nothing except maybe get oil on Mass Airflow sensors and then get a check engine light and have to deal with that. As was said too i've heard they don't filter as well as the OEMS or aftermarket paper filters so best off to stick with Paper ones.
