I been watching videos on the the new 21 model. It seem some cars have the color strip of light above the two screens while others don't. Unless I'm missing something, can someone confirm if it's there or not in the US.

 

Not sure about 2021, but the previous years only had the ambient lighting above the gauges, if the car had the analog cluster. If you have the digital cluster, no ambient lighting on the dash.

 

My '18 has ambient light above and below the digital panels as well as in the doors, door pockets and around the console. I can imagine MB eliminating some of the ambient lighting as a cost reduction.

 

My 2021 e350 has the light only below the cluster. I posted a picture in the thread above yours.

 

For digital clusters (we don't have analogue ones here), pre-facelift there are light strips both above and below the screens. From the configurator, it seems that only the bottom strip remains post fl.

how did you get that? mine is 2017 E300 and it doesn't have this feature

 

My 2019 P+ came with multi colour ambient lighting above and below both the digital screens.

 

Not by dealer. I own my own diagnostic tool hardware and have the software coding done remotely. The car has a whole lot more capability and available software than we are aware of. Contact me directly if you are interested in any software update/upgrade

I doubt it, as long as you have the 64 colors you should be able to get it
