Android Auto won't start
2020 E350
Any tips on getting Android Auto to start.
No matter how I try to start the app, the car says failure to start Android Auto.
3 different cables, under the connect selection it does identify the phone as a Samsung Note 8.
A bug with the car?
Frustrated as I really want to run Waze instead of the MB nav for longer trips.

Go to Best Buy and purchase an expensive android charging cable. That should solve the problem. One of the biggest complaints people have with Android phones -- including me -- is that the cheap cables stop working very quickly.

Thanks CarFan1, perhaps the one's I have been using don't make the grade.
I'll give it a shot within the next few days.

Still no go after buying the Samsung hi speed WHITE cable. It seems to start the app on the phone but it flickers then never starts.
Looks like Android Auto is going to be a bust.
I'll need to test with the wife's iPhone and see if I have any luck with that. This blows.

Thanks UA.
I really think my phone is hosed for some reason. Been down that route.
Something else I noticed is AA never seems to finish its first startup and just goes to the stage where it asks for permissions.
At some point but not all the time, the car informs me to finish the phone instructions.
I've spent so much time on this, I will ask the service person when I bring it in for the safety recall I just got in the mail today.
