Navigation issue
Hello,
My car is 2017 canadian car imported to Saudi Arabia. I installed the region map and it was working for few months. Then it gets stuck, doesn't show correct location in my city for couple of weeks after that it puts me in the middle of ocean. Now for the last 4-5 months the location is on Egypt. Is it hardware issue or software issue ?
I did reset my system from the screen but still the issue is there.
Whenever I plug my apple carplay or android auto the maps are working perfectly.

could be the antenna, it's sort of a "common" issue.
when you say you did a "reset from the screen", do you mean you held down the off button until the screen came back on ?

I did reset from the system itself it says restore or reset all (something like that I don't remember)
I just opened the map couple of hours ago, and it is around my position now (almost 100km radius) before it was more than 1000Km lol

Its a typical antenna problem, I had the same issue - once antenna was replaced, it worked again. My mechanic said that he has seen cars as “young” as 2 years old that needed the antenna replaced. He also told me that the antenna that they replace with, is identical... so nothing has been done to find out why these break so easily. So I expect to have to replace this again within the next 2-4 years - but hoping that it lasts longer.

just to add here are two pics of the maps version and the dealer menu of the car maybe someone here can understand this stuff and spot an issue (software) if not antenna changing is on the way lol

on a side note I washed the car two weeks ago and magically it was working correctly until yesterday. Then it put me off like in 50km radius instead of another country lol.
so maybe the issues are the following
- clean the car from sand and dust every few days lol
- I need to code the car to change the region from Canada to Saudi Arabia
- the gps or antenna is broken and I need to replace it

I am in the same boat, I just bought a 2020 E350 in Dubai, imported from USA.
Can you please guide how to put GCC maps in it, as now it only shows a globe and can't zoom in.
