What time is it?
I have a new E 450 with MBUX and like to know what time it is while driving. Yes, I know there are small digital numbers showing the time on the instrument cluster. But I'm old school (plus my eyesight isn't the greatest) and would love to see a large clock on the digital display so I don't have to squint to see the time. I know Mercedes recently removed the old-style analog clocks. Is there a way to show a digital clock on the instrument panel? I don't really need to see a tachometer and don't care about all of the other digital gauges like fuel consumption, etc. Ideally, I'd have the speedometer on one side of the instrument panel and a large digital clock on the other. Is that possible? If not, anyone know if Mercedes is thinking of adding that in a future update? It seems like it would be an easy software add-on.

Looks like Understated has a large analog clock in the IC. You can also say Hey Mercedes, what time is it?

I found the clock in the "Understated" display. Can't find it in any other setting. Unfortunately, it looks like the "Understated" mode only shows the speedometer and analog clock; it doesn't allow for any display at all in the center console. The center screen just goes blank in that mode. They seem to be taking "understated" to the extreme. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong -- will contact Mercedes Help to see if there's a way around it.

Just spoke with the Mercedes Care specialist. He said there is no way to show a large clock in the instrument panel, other than in the "Understated" theme, which keeps the center console completely dark. He said he has no idea why MBUX was designed that way and agreed that it seems a bit odd. Maybe a future iteration of the software will include more clock options.
