I managed to program a few features on my 213 (2018 model). See below.

This is for option 866. Allows you to download the comand touch app from Euro Apple store and control features from back of vehicle using ipad.

Intelligent Headlamps. Must code both headlamps also.

This feature allows you to control the back and bottom cushion temperatures.

I believe this is standard on newer E class cars but mine did not have it active. Setting these "moods" controls the scent, led lighting, seat temperature, and massaging.

This feature lets your car sleep for a long time. Perfect for long trips away from home to prevent the battery from dying.

How did you program this? I am also interested in programming a few things, especially to turn off the seatbelt warning, and to display the temperature in Celsius.

Fairly easy to do. I can help if you are ever in the Houston area.

It is all in the Operator Guide that came with your car. It is also downloadable from MBUSA.

Are you using a MB diagnostic tool to do this. Where do you you obtain the coding software?

I used DTS Monaco to program the car. You cannot just download software into the car for these features.

Understood, I have a SDconnect unit. Wanted to know how you go about obtaining the coded software for updating the features to the car.

Several of the features are standard and can be set by the user while some require "special" programming.
Intelligent lights need "special" programming but authorizing a new device does not. Neither does standby mode that I use whenever I leave my car at the airport.

I've heard that some people use something called "teamviewer" to program cars remotely using DTS Monaco. I'm tempted to look into that, so that someone can remotely program for me.

This is possible but you will have to have some hardware on your end to connect to the car. Ask Benzninja

Authorizing a new "touch" device is something that is programmed in. This allows a rear tablet to communicate with comand. This feature is part of 866 (prewiring for rear entertainment) which is not sold in the usa.

I could be wrong but I could have sworn mine did not have that feature prior to programming.

AFAIK the only setting not normally available in US models is for Intelligent Lights.

You can authorize any "touch" device such as a phone or tablet. It allows the device to control the COMAND system remotely say from anywhere within wifi range. I authorized my Galaxy S9 cell phone. One must have the COMAND Touch app installed on your device.

Here is a link to the Android apk of COMAND Touch.

Will it work with apple carplay? Like moving the media wheel in carplay(like its possible both from media wheel and touchbutton on steering wheel)

I’m seeing it in Canada, but as above caution it doesn’t work on an iPhone.

It's suppose to only work on larger tablets such as IPADS.

The Android version works on any size device such as my Galaxy S9. Screen size really doesn't matter.
For Apple devices iOS is not supported, but MacOS and iPadOS are supported.

I can confirm that it works on an iPad mini 4 - I downloaded the program from App Store(Denmark)

it will work, sort of with apple carplay, in that sense that the mouse part(will work as the dial) will move anything that is on the screen. But things like volume level cannot be changed(if f.x. Your are using spotify)

so its more a gimmick than actual usable.... only use I can see is if you have a rear seat passenger that you would want to control stuff - e.g if your using your car as an Uber Black or in a limousine service

I am not going to use it again

Which modules did you have to program to get your intelligent headlamps to work? I have the hardware and DTS and it’s the first thing I want to do
