"Please Wait..." Message
Not a problem, more of a curiosity. When I cold start my 2020 E450, I see a message "Please Wait..." in the middle of the instrument panel. After a half-minute or so it goes away. If I start the car when it's warmed up, the message shows for a quick second and goes away. Does anyone know specifically what on the car is being monitored to cause this message?

Which display option is normally shown where "Please Wait" is shown?
My 2019 E450 wagon can show several different ones, and perhaps that option can't display the info for a few seconds. I know if I have my main display on Navi, it takes a bit for the maps to load.

OP here. Yes, it was the Sirius/XM satellite radio connection that was causing the Wait message.
I usually have the Radio app showing in my main instrument panel (where the Please Wait message appeared). I'm so used to it being there that I just blanked it out of my mind when describing my original symptoms. In further testing, I think the delay in the Wait message is because my car is garaged and there is a short time for the Sirius/XM satellite signal to connect. Depending on satellite locations, the time to connect can vary. I've had satellite radio in my cars for over 15 years and I'm so used to there being a delay in signal acquisition, that I didn't even put one and one to together, and connect it with the Wait message. Once outside, I'll have a clear signal and radio connection is almost automatic.
(The cold start comment of mine was sort of a red herring. The car is cold in the morning when I start it. However, the garage and structure around it partially weaken the received signal strength, which is the important factor. Once outside, my car is warmed up, so if I should restart it outside, with no obstructions satellite acquisition is almost instantaneous.)
