I to wanted to go after a dealer legally, for about $30,000.
here’s the way my attorney put to me
yes, you have a clear concise case you will probably win, will take about 6 to 8 months if we’re lucky a ton of your time and you should park the car until it’s all settled. So I’d have to get another car. And when it done you might get 10 grand the rest goes to me and court costs.
Great, had 2 kids in college, made too much for any kind of aid, and commuted 2 hours each way to work. So I’d win but loose.

Getting back to the original subject of this thread, I just checked the MBUSA website for CPO E450 Wagons and there are only THIRTEEN in the entire USA! Talk about “scarce!”

I expect a lack of enthusiasm for the AT is causing individuals to go for CPO E 450s. I know I would.

On Autotrader, if you eliminate the CPO requirement, this morning there are 34 E450 and 36 E400 wagons listed. Still not a lot, but a little more to choose from.

I have to stick up for the AT. Despite the issues I have had with the 48V battery I love the car. If I had the option to to not have the cladding I would opt out but after a while I do not notice it. I do like MBUX better than Comand. (I have mastered the steering wheel controls now) Just my 2 cents.

In regards to the cladding on the AT wish MB would offer a full paint option like Audi does on their Allroad

Stream you and I are exactly 180° apart on how we would select options. But it’s opinions that make markets. I just refuse to be stuffed and buy an all-road/all-terrain type vehicle. Maybe an RS6 Avant should be on your looking list.
You have to love Audi. They put on the cladding and then charge you $1000 to paint it.
The American subsidiaries of the European manufacturers are in an echo chamber. They just follow one another.

2020 E450 Wagon
I test drove it along with the MB E450 wagon. It comes standard with the air suspension. The ride and interior were nice but it failed in two areas for me and I bought my 2020 MB wagon instead. The interior cargo space was about 20% less than the E450 wagon and the rear seats when folded never sat flat, they were at about 35 degrees which further consumed usable space. I wanted flat seats for my two dogs. The Audi equipped the same as the MB wagon was a bit cheaper but it failed on the above requirements so I passed. I've also had not such great customer care from Audi a few years ago with a new A6 and that also swayed me away from Audi.

2020 E450 Wagon
Agreed, I also didn't want one when I was looking to buy a 2020 E450 wagon back in Dec of 2020. There were about 100 new 2020's left in the country and none with the packages I wanted were without a pano roof so I had to get one. I didn't want a 2021 so had to settle with what was left. Here in Texas I have zero interest in a sunroof.

As I said, to each his own. We have 284 days of sun here. In summer I close the shade, but in winter I open the shade. I never actually open the roof, that’s what the vert is for.

Convertibles in comparison are a dime a dozen
MB USA web site: 142 E class - 400 & 450 standard & 4matic 2016 thru 2021
230 C class - 2017 thru 2021
Autotrader: 352 E class - 2016 thru 2021
605 C class - 2016 thru 2021
and they are considerably less expensive on both web sites.

Well, if you are particular about how you want your wagon equipped, buying CPO, at least in my case, is just about impossible. I want Air Body Control, which is quite a rare option on the previous wagons. In addition, I would really like the Acoustic Comfort Pkg. and one of the better interiors, but absolutely do NOT want the Panorama Roof. I also won't consider a black wagon. And, I'm even willing to consider an AMG Line wagon, even though I much prefer the Luxury Trim. With the E450 Wagons being reasonably rare to begin with, finding one that meets my criteria really is difficult. But, I need a new vehicle, as MB is buying back my 2020 S560 due to rough shifting transmission issues, so as much as I hate to say it, I am considering an All Terrain.
I drove a new All Terrain the other day and it drives very nicely. Being an older guy, I like the additional vehicle height, as it makes it easier to get into. If I can get a dealer to commit to letting me order one without agreeing to a price over MSRP, I'll probably go for it.

Considered the RS6 (originally ordered an E63), but it is too cramped for my two big dogs.

In the vein of Wagons Are Scarce, there is a CPO 2109 E450 with 3,500 miles listed at MB of Fort Lauderdale; cardinal red, which is pretty rare indeed. Just an FYI if anyone is seeking the unicorn.
No longer listed, what was the asking price?
