Will 18” C AMG clear brakes on E450?
Shopping for 18” winter wheels and came across an C AMG wheels
It’s 18 x 8.5 ET49
according to wheel fitment calculator, these wheels are “inner 12.4mm closer to the suspension strut. And poke out 0.3mm more than before.”
Will it clear the brakes on E450 and do you see any rubbing or adverse effects on suspension?

The offset (even for same wheel design) is different for all of the models in the C-Class
Please help me with this question, was the wheels originally from C amg line or C43 ? I won't be asking if the wheels came from a C63/C63s as it starts at 19 inch in Canada.

I'm sorry, I forgot you mentioned ET 49 in the original post, sorry for asking the question again when you already answered.
For the E450, is it a sedan or coupe or wagon, what model year is it (although model year usually doesn't matter as long as it is a W213, C238 or A238)
I need more details with the size of your tires, please tell me the width and aspect ratio of your summer tires and the same for the new winter tires you are trying to fit.

I believe your car is a 2019, 2020 or 2021 since E450 only started appearing for MY19 replacing E400. So based on and that and while waiting for further information, I will give you a simple answer and what to expect, for wheels that are too close to the suspension, you can always put on 10mm spaces if you really want to proceed with these wheels, make sure they are hub centric and get something that are good quality. Given the information you already provided, it is likely that you have stock 19 inches.
Guaranteed fitment if you still wish to downsize to 18 inch would be : 245/45 R18 ET 43

Edit: Forgot to mention get something hub centric cannot stress that enough and make sure when you install it, it is completely, I mean completely flush as I seen incompatible spacers installed on MBs that you can feel a tiny gap in which is simply not safe.
