CPO Extended Warranty

I'm thinking about buying an extended CPO warranty, does anyone know if the price is set by MB and I'll get the same quote from any dealer or is it something that can be shopped around?

SEARCH is a wonderful thing. Assuming you bought a CPO car, it can be shopped around.

They're different, but the CPO is not the best coverage available. Text or Call me at (602) 909-9216 or send me an email at tgibson@highline-autos.com for a quote and example contract on a Complete Manufacturers's Extension by Freedom Warranty, accepted at all Mercedes Dealers in North America, if for nothing else, you can use it to negotiate the dealer down.

There's a huge thread in the extended warranty subforum that mentions several vendors. Various dealers will discount the price, depending on the warranty you're buying, one MB dealer may be cheaper on one product and more expensive on another. Basically you can get 2 extra years on the CPO warranty with unlimited miles. There are longer warranties but they tend to be more money. Usually the MB warranties are considered better because there's no deducible, they don't require a 3rd party inspection when you have a major repair, and they're less likely to go out of business or deny a claim than a 3rd party company. The service packs might also be a good deal depending on mileage. They will include the transmission fluid change and spark plug change so if you're coming close to those intervals, it's cheaper to get the service pack than to pay for those services separately. The vendors don't discount them much but some MB dealers charge more than list price so it be worth checking the vendors mentioned in subforum.
