Front Differential Gone on Stage 2 E63s 2019

I have a 2019 e63s with 30,000km. The car has been modified to stage 2 with catless downpipes with 500kw to the wheels. I've never taken my car to the track nor do i drive it that hard, i launch the car maybe once every 1-2 weeks.

The front differential has gone with what started as a light rattle to a loud kock, mercedes dealership has confirmed it needs to be replaced and there is no warranty due to the tune.

Am i basically screwed, is a front diff breaking from a tune common with mercedes, i cant find one post on someone with the same problem as me. Just looking on suggestions or ideas of what i could do? By the way the repair quote is $9000.

As far as MB is concerned, you tuned it, you own it. The system was designed to accommodate the output of the stock motor. You modified it to output more and in doing so are now responsible if something in the drivetrain breaks. Your options are to have the dealer or someone else fix it, but either will be at your expense. I've been on this forum for a couple years and I haven't seen any posts about the front diff failing. Usually it is the transmission or engine internals and those are almost exclusively on tuned vehicles.

Mine just failed. It was not due to a tune though, most of my launches were with a stock car

Funny story, I ended up getting the diff replaced than my rear diff also went. there goes 16k down the drain.

I have a feeling that the diff problems maybe came from the the tyres having too much grip and the power putting too much stress on the diffs with no tyre slip.

I now drive a stock 2023 cayenne gts and most likely will not tune it as I've learnt my lesson

In saying that, the car was amazing. stupid fast, sounded good and was doing under 3 second launches (all came with a big cost though)

If i was to tune another car, I would make sure its built with upgraded clutch, trans and diffs.
