Does my car has 360 camera and Burmester system?
I will ask full service history from Mercedes dealership in Finland next December when I do my A3 service.
but eventhough its a crime, its a weighed option… the profit is high and the “getting caught is low” so people will do it. If anything like that is done here and caught… it will be a fine, and if its figured out that it has been done on a large scale… fine is bigger. If the assumed profit from doing this reaches a certain amount. Lets say 100.000 usd - then we talk prison.
but getting caught is rare I think, because these cars can circulate, bought and sold on, and if its figured out after 3 years… it might be impossible to track down the person who did it and profitted on it in the first place.
as for an older vehicle, if the buyer takes a vehicle they brought from a third party to a dealership for a PPI, can Xentry detect the mismatch? (Other than let's say the dealership start taking apart the vehicle to assess the service life of various engine components)
