2020 E450 Wagon - 17" Wheel Compatibility?

After months of searching, the wife and I finally purchased our dream W213 E-Wagon! It's a 2020 E450 /w the Luxury Package.

Our wagon's factory wheel configuration is the Code "R26" Luxury Package wheels, which are 245/40 R19 tires on 19 x 8 ET 43 wheels.

I see that the OEM 17" option for E350's, Code "R07" Luxury Line wheels, are 225/55 R17 tires on 17 x 7.5 ET 40

Does anyone know if the "R07" Luxury Line wheels will fit and clear the brakes/suspension on a W213 E450 Wagon? I recall seeing some of the earliest model year W213 wagons (model designation back then was E350 and/or E400 I believe) coming standard with these R07 17" wheels when the Luxury Line was specced, leading me to believe that they should fit fine, but figured it was worth asking incase anyone here can confirm.

I would highly prefer to go with a 17" wheel over an 18" wheel to maximize for ride quality, NVH, pot-hole resistance, etc. Main concern is caliper clearance.

Really appreciate any insight, thanks much!

Bump - Has anyone tried putting 17's on a W213 E400 or E450 wagon before?

Since no one replied so far so I will share my opinion, the 17s isn't likely to clear the brakes.

Thanks. I went ahead and ordered some 18x8 ET40 to be safe. I couldn't find anything definitive, but have seen a few users comment that there is barely any clearance left on the front cross-drilled rotors & calipers with 18's, so I've decided not to risk 17's.

Dang, I wish I would have seen this thread earlier. My E400 wagon has R54 wheels I would have offered up to trade for your R26’s if you hadn’t already purchased a new set. C’est la vie

Haha, don't worry you didn't miss out on anything as I wasn't looking to trade for R54's. I personally don't find the R54's visually appealing so I went with something aftermarket in a similar size/offset.

My R26's are going to be available for sale after Nov 16 (when my new wheels are being mounted). They have 5K miles on them and can come with or without Goodyear Eagle F1 RFT's mounted.
