2022 E450 All Terrain
Congrats on a nice looking wagon! On the tires, check the sidewalls to make sure they are run flats. If the tires are OEM, they should say "MOE", which is the Mercedes version of run flats. There's lots of debate on the pros and cons of run flats. My 2019 E450 wagon came with the Pirelli Cinturato all season run flats and I'm a big fan of them.

2023 GLE450, 2021 E350 / Used to drive: 2019 E300, 2021 + 2020 GLE350, 2019 E450 Wagon(s), 2017 E300
Norse, I have the weather tech cargo mat with the rear bumper protection. (I was lucky, I bought mine used and it had all weather tech mats in it already) It fits great and is well made - the bumper protector unrolls to protect the bumper - helpful with the dogs are getting in and out and loading / unloading things. I think you will be happy with it.

Cool, I saw the bumper protection on the WT web site, great idea, but what does the bumper protection look like when rolled up?
Eyesore, OR invisible.,?

Tried to log in with the MB app and hopefully find an online owners manual there, but the car's VIN is still associated with previous owner's email.
Need a trip to the dealer..Do they charge for transferring ownership in the data base?

Mine required a trip to a dealer so that they could verify I was the new owner (take your paperwork), and make sure the apps were setup correctly on my phone. I made an appointment with the concierge.
And, then I had to call MB headquarters and have them setup the rest of the things, and get all the other online stuff to work. Not sure if the dealer should have done more, but either way, do this step.

While on the phone with MB headquarters, they did offer to send me a "build report" for the vehicle. It's like the sticker, listing all the options, but with the build codes, and the original cost.
You can see mine attached.

There was no charge for any of this.

I will probably have questions left and right, but will wait until I pick it up tomorrow.

This is the wagon, love at first sight.

Are there any dedicated E-400/450 Wagon chapters here, or is this it with the E213 models?
I haven't found one. I drive a '21 E450 wagon.

Thx Rob.
Just back from the dealer now, they were happy to detach the car from the previous owner, it took about 1/2 hour.
Then I opened the app and got the iPad connected, will do the iPhone next.
Did not call MB headquarters, not sure if I need to.
Still working on the setup.

Also talked to a service advisor at the dealer, he showed my that PrePaid service will save a bunch of money: $2.5k for 3 year's services as opposed to $5k if I pay each one..
Will look into that, there is independent MB shops around here, but the dealer (stealer?) is really close to my house, darn convenient.

I haven't found one. I drive a '21 E450 wagon.
Ok, thx.Perhaps we should request or make a chapter for 213 Wagons?

There is no way your services for the next three years will amount to $5K. That is total nonsense and typical dealer BS. 10K miles/12 months service cost me $270 with taxes. 20K miles/12 months is around $600 and finally, 30K miles/12 months service is around $$350 for a grand total of $1220. My local dealer tried to sell me Engine Compression cleaning to clean the carbon out of the engine. I never did it obviously because it is total BS. They wanted $390 dollars for that. Only perform the scheduled maintenance items as MB knows what needs to be done. The dealer is simply trying to increase revenue.

I plan on doing oil changes at 5K miles in addition to following the 10K mile service schedule. I contacted a local indy shop who had great reviews but they wanted $140 for an oil and filter change. It is the same price as my dealer who is much closer and more convenient than the indy shop.

No surprise the dealer is trying to upsell service, calling it recommended rather than required..
Here is the 3 services, 1 each year for 3 years, total $4,868.64

I'd ask them to break out the costs by service to see where they are really ripping you off. I noticed in the service A they have a few things at the end that are not required service items, nice add-ons for themselves though. Just looked at my A service and they did not replace plugs or engine air filter either.

Yeah, I am taking the above with a grain of salt. Service was done just before I bought the car, next time is September 2022 as I only drive 3,500 miles per year.
Also got 4 new tires and a 4 year/48,000 mile warranty so it should be fairly inexpensive to keep this Benz,

That is good, that it was done before you purchased. I bought mine in Jan 2021 and did the first service in mid-Sep because I was doing a 4K mile trip to Canada and back and wanted fresh oil/filter for that trip despite only having 5K miles on the car.

Now been going thru the Owners Manual, getting the basics, seat memory, found the button for manually folding the mirrors and a few other things.
Still have not found the garage door opener button or how to program it..
Found a seat button on the drivers door with a seat silhouette and an R. No idea what the R means.
(The heated seat button is just behind the R button)
Now on hold, getting Sirius XM looks like the free 6 month trial was never activated, I might as well grab it.

The "R" button allows you to control the Right seat. Press it and the controls on your door control the passenger seat.
The garage door buttons are below and built into the mirror. You have to read the manual, as there are two types of remotes, and you program the buttons differently.

Ok, thx.
Found the garage door buttons and did program one of them successfully, all good.
Now I am unable to turn on the reading lights on the over head. Must have hit a wrong button or done something to inhibit the function of the reading light buttons.
Back to the manual..
Guess it is fun to learn the new car, but I can't imagine "normal" people would do all this. (my wife would go nuts and give up after 5 minutes)
Guess we are nerds...

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
Must be a autonation dealer you're dealing with, there's lots of them in Florida. You definitely made the right choice with the car you got. I'm not crazy about these new hybrids after 2020, they are having lots of issues with the 48 volt battery and having trouble getting batteries, too complicated. The Twin Turbo V6 is a very reliable power plant and I regularly get over 30 mpg on the highway with mine. In some ways I like my 2019 E450 Wagon better than my 2018 S560 sedan. It is much more of a drivers car than the S560 which is basically a land yacht. I do some sailing down at Shake a Leg in Miami on Biscayne bay in both the Freedoms and the 63 foot Impossible dream Catamaran so I am quite familiar with the waters you run your charter boat in. The run flat tires you have if thats what they are suitable for Florida but in places where the roads are bumpy such as up in the northern states, NY, CT, RI and MA they are kinda rough riding and a lot of people change over to non run flats. My wagon is strictly used in Florida so I'm fine with the runflats. I have Michelin Primacy 3 Performance summer only tires on my car and and am quite impressed with them although a very expensive tire and only good for 20K miles or so.

I live on Long Island, drive in he city and go north to Vermont to ski. I have the Pirelli Centurato P7 RF on my car. I also have the standard 18" tires - nothing fancy. I find the ride extremely smooth. Maybe because of our road surface at 20,000 miles I still have 6/32 of tread left on the rear tires. I had to change both front tires because of bubbles. Those had 7/32 left. I expect to get al least 30K miles plus. I run my tires at 35 psi.

I do carry a a high quality tire inflator in the trunk.

Ya, the Cinturatos are good. I run the non run flat P7's on my pickup truck and recently replaced them with the same, I got 40K miles out of them and 6 years which is a record for me as I drive aggressively, they have a wear rating of 700 but yet hook up pretty well. Impressed with those tires. I may just end up putting the run flat P7's on my wagon when the Michelin Primacys wear out, the problem with them is they are summer only and a very soft rubber compound and good for only around 18K miles. At least on my wagon though which has the luxury package the front end design is no good for harsh bumps and bottoms out, I've seen a lot of others complain about this issue. It's fine in Florida but on a lot of the pot hole ridden roads up north the car tends to bend rims and make for a pretty miserable ride. At least my car is best off just being a Florida car due to its design.

My Pirelli P7 came with the car and are all season (M+S) speed rating of H. My experience is as compared to V rated tires, while the V rated ,might improve handling only marginally, I really cannot tell the difference, the H rated tires ride much, much smoother. As I no longer drive back roads at high speed where the V rating might improve the handling, a great deal of my driving is on the Interstate. Here I want the smoothest and quietest ride possible - the quieter and smoother the less fatigue. My E450 does this magnificently!

2019 E-450 Wagon
Been driving a couple of short trips today and discovered a hollow "rattle, almost a rumble from the right rear when driving on uneven roads and over speed bumps.
The noise seems to come out when the suspension moves up and down.
Looked in the back for a lose panel, or whatever could cause it, nothing..
Will have my car mechanic buddy lay down in back to help identify the source in a day or two,

Anybody else with the 2019 Wagon having a noise from the right rear?
