Great breed! We adopted ours from a track in Florida way back before all the rescue organizations got their footing. I don't think we've ever had a dog more grateful to be adopted. He was a wonderful pet.

Lola was also adopted, from a shelter: Previous owner had abused her as a puppy, kicked and burned the dog.
Needless to say, Lola is very happy to be part of this family.

Sammy when we first adopted him would yelp if we touched his ears. We assumed someone used to pull them. Now he lets me rub his ears and enjoys it.

I guess I don't fit the profile. I only have one MB, a VW and a BMW motorcycle Which models are your two other MB?

Saw a CLS in the showroom and liked it, never had seen one before, and eventually bought a preowned 2014. Two cars was plenty for us, but later saw an SL in another showroom and couldn’t resist. It is such a pleasure to drive, top down or up. So we feel pretty set for the foreseeable future as we tend to be longterm owners.
The 2003 BMW 540 wagon was a terrific car, V8 speed and wonderful handling. Was really sorry to let it go but its time had come.

I don't get how someone can abuse an innocent animal. Would love to get my hands on someone who abuses a puppy and dish out some abuse of my own

Detailed the Kraut Wagon today and found a shallow door ding above the aft passenger side window..How did that happen...?

I doubt a jury would convict someone of slapping an animal abuser around. A dent less paint repair guy could pull that little dent out if it bugs you.

Will wait a bit in case another dent pops up.
As for slapping an animal abuser around: It would be worth every penny of the fine..

Tried to plug in my "Old Shark" dash cam today.
No cigar, getting an error message on the cam's display saying "Mass Storage".
As per Dr. Google it means the cam is hooked up to computer rather than a power source.
(No cigarette lighter plug on these E-Wagons? How do we power a dash cam and a radar detector if the USBs are data only, no power? )

2023 GLE450, 2021 E350 / Used to drive: 2019 E300, 2021 + 2020 GLE350, 2019 E450 Wagon(s), 2017 E300
Check the passenger footwell - on the upper left. Both of my E450 wagons have had a 12V power point there. My E300 sedans have not had that same feature - but worth checking for it in your wagon..

I'm enjoying this thread!
"I read somewhere that the E450 wagon is typically purchased by MB most affluent customers and they own multiple MB vehicles in addition to the E450 wagon."
Part 1most affluent
I'm retired, fixed income, huge tax loss deduction; Wife works part- time, (I'm being kept); so part 1 - I don't qualify,
Past 2 my own multiple MB vehicles in
wife drives a 11 year old ML350 SUV that just turned 80,000 mile - does that qualify? Her car has depreciated to next to nothing but looks good. Paint perfect and Chrome exhaust tips still shiny.
Spent 40+ years in retail - and when I started back in 72 - 1st Boss saying was " It's easier to get where you want if you dress like your already there"
For the price I paid for the wagon this past August - I could have bought a 2017 Tahoe, or wow a Jeep Rubicon - some how don't think they have to same presence but wouldn't get the Oh you must be rich to have a Mercedes.
Live in central VA, and have yet to see another MB wagon, and I mean any MB wagon.

I'm enjoying this thread!
We don't fit the typical wagon profile either: Only 1 MB in the stables, wife is not interested, she loves her 2018 Chevy Volt.
When I had the 2015 BMW 328XD Wagon she refused to drive it, the Tiptronic or whatever BMW calls their Auto/Manual shifter intimidated her.
Bought her a Caddy Station Wagon for Christmas/Birthday 2011, after a while she didn't like it anymore, she wanted a Volt instead.. (She is on the
3rd Volt now,)
I love the MB Wagon. I drove taxi cabs in Northern Europe in my 20s, usually Mercedes Diesel, 220, 240 and the flagship 300 Diesel.
Learned to appreciate the brand, comfy seats, great quality. (The Taxi version was beefed up a bit, they were going 24 hours per day in snow, on ice and on salted roads.)
Nowadays they use the E-Wagons for cabs in the old country, nice work place.
Don't think we will ever see them in taxi service here in the US.
Time for a run to the Bark Park with Lola, will look for the 12 volt cigarette lighter sockets when back.
Stay tuned.

Found the 12 volt plug, now the camera is up and running.
(Need to hide the cable behind the trim pieces, but looks like it can't be pressed in, need to remove trim, then run the cable?)
My programming is not complete: Selecting reverse gear the mirrors are supposed to tilt down: The Right one tilts UP.
The overhead reading lights does NOT illuminate when I hit the overhead light button. (left or right, no response)
The lights comes on when opening the drivers door however.
Pressing the Door LOCK button on the driver's door locks all doors except the driver's door. (I usually lock 'em all with the door open and before I exit, not with this car, yet)
Love the car however, but need another car, can't drive this one in the rain after I detailed it yesterday..

If e type wagons are too small a percent why is the a separate section for AMG 210. - 213?
I would think that is even a smaller slice, guess
regular wagons aren’t affluent enough!

I read something like, wagons make up only 1.85% of new vehicle sales and the Subaru Outback owns 1.25% of those alone. It doesn't leave much for the rest of the wagons out there.

Great point! It doesn't look members can start a forum. I guess an admin would have to do it. I would certainly support it.

We should probably request ALL Wagons, rather than just the W213s.
Wagon Chapter, here we are, lets do it. 😎

Spoiler
The AMG guys seems to be super nerds, their cars are more than a hobby, an obsession really.
(Don't blame 'em, I would be there too if I had one)
In the meantime, the low key guys, the Classy Gentlemen Wagoneers, need a separate chapter, or Forum if you will.
Lets give it a shot...
