Mercedes Me notifications

If I leave my w213 E class 2017 saloon unlocked I don’t get any notifications anymore to alert me so that I can lock from app.
Anyone else having this problem?

make sure notifications in settings is on - sometimes (though rare) this is turned off after an update
you can also try to reinstall the app, in this case i would:
- uninstall
- Hard reboot phone to clear memory
- reinstall

ah , yes it's subscription based
if you go online on your mercedes me profile, it shows which services you can buy
at least it's like this in Europe, don't know where you are based

Just had following email from Mercedes Me:Thank you for contacting Mercedes me connect.

The push notifications for the door lock status have been discontinued for vehicles with HERMES 1.0 module (your vehicle has the HERMES 1.0).

This feature is no longer available for the vehicles equipped with KOM3 or Hermes 1.0, and the discontinuation was not announced before/in advance, as it was never supposed to be live for the vehicles equipped with the mentioned communication modules.

If you were able to enjoy the feature in the past, it was due to a mistake from our side.

Now the function is working now as designed.

IIRC the initial Mercedes me subscription in the US is limited to 5 years. As with navigation/internet services there is no way to renew a subscription.

That's interesting. I was also under the impression that the push notification stuff was only for 2019+ vehicles on the new Mercedes me connect platform. mBrace vehicles didn't get this here in the USA as far as I know. Funny thing is that it's apparently technically possible, but they just don't want to support it with mBrace. I do get them in my 2019 C63 for various events such as vehicle left unlocked, battery low and even a notification for walking directions if I navigate somewhere, but park away from the final destination.

Does anybody know how long the Mercedes me connect subscription is good for in a CPO Mercedes? Thanks.

The initial subscription is valid for 3 years from first activation, at least in the past. It's now been reduced to 1 year for new vehicles. You'll have to visit a dealership to get the account transferred to you from the previous owner as far as I know, and I'm guessing you get whatever is left on the initial subscription. Once the account is in your name, you can login to the website and should be able to see when the services expire. For 2019+ vehicles in the USA, the store isn't live yet, so we can't actually renew after the initial 3 years, but they are extending the services in the meantime if you call them.

thanks superswiss, Seems like I will have the app for 1 remaining year. Any idea how much the app is per year? The remote start feature is nice to have on cold mornings.

Looks like you have a 2019. As I said, the store is not live yet to renew the subscription, and so the future pricing isn't known, either. I believe there will be different packages bundling certain services together at different price levels. We'll have to see once the store is finally up and running. It was supposed to go up last year, but with COVID and all it got delayed. At the moment they manually extend the subscription free of charge, once the initial 3 years ran out. I'm assuming the store will go live this year. Mine is good through September, so we'll see.

I think with Mercedes me the subscription is 5 years but you don't get notifications with that, at least your not suppose too. With Mercedes Connect on 2019 and up vehicles it's only 3 years free subscription but the app is a lot more 2 way communication vs one way as on the mercedes me app.

I updated the Mercedes Me app a month or so ago, and found that there is now a "My Transactions" under the menu on the upper left. This is new, and is probably getting ready to roll out the pay services for the 2019's.

You are right. I see that, too. Wondering if it might be rolled out already and once the services expire there'll be a pay/renew option when you go to Manage Services. Although, I've seen screenshots of the app in Europe, and there's a whole store section where you can also purchase features after the fact such as navigation, matrix lights etc. Wondering if that's coming to the USA as well.
