Congrats, show us a picture of your wagon.

Here it is. AMG package (less the fire breathing engine), leather, etc. Just what I was looking for.

One of “THE” all time, most beautiful MB colors IMO, so of course, they discontinued it.

Hey NorseWagon, looked on FB for the group you mentioned, and cannot find a wagon designated group; can you send a link perhaps? Thanks.

Indeed it is. I wasn't really looking for a wagon as I already have a 2010 GLK350 as a daily driver and a 2014 ML350 which my wife drives and is a family hauler. This one showed up and I just had to get it. I guess the GLK will be going on the market soon...

There is one, you have to type it in exactly as @NorseWagon mentioned otherwise it does not show up.

I must be missing something; I find the FB group Mercedes Benz E Class Owners & Enthusiasts however I cannot find "Mercedes-Benz E-Wagons" , or Mercedes-Benz E-Wagons in the group search on FB. Suggestions, other than a hammer to the key board, are most appreciated.

Concur, it's a great color - personally I think it's cool driving a car that they discontinued the color - having a wagon is unique having a "off" color is even better
Paint Code: 988 - Diamond Metallic Silver

Had to look for my paint code, seems to be several "Silver".
I got 775U Iridium silver - metallic finish.

Same as this one.

Not my fault, I picked one up in 2019 (pictured shortly after I got it, alongside my old dear). Lease is up in 2 months, given this crazy market, I'd be dumb to not buy it at the residual:

Beautiful car fintail! What's the year and model of the old dear and how's she run?

Thanks, 64, still going strong, unrestored car. Runs sweet and usually starts on the first turn of the key, completely roadworthy, but more of a summer car these days. I've had the car for 27 years.

On that note, the wagon might be my last new MB, as CUVs don't warm my heart in general, and a custom build G550 in the manufaktur color similar to my old car is a bit rich for my budget.

I'd like to chip in here and also say that
- I love wagons, they are always bigger trunk than SUVS (makers could make them the same but they NEVER do!)
- even recent reports say 2 out of 3 C-class (biggest selling model range) in Eu are wagons. Demand is there still!
- families need lots of space, don't they wanna provide for families?
- I am also finding MB is now changing its sales model to allow for more internet based shopping and a different dealer model and this means more direct customer contact. Look at all the articles on mercedes media site, and they have phone and emails of the key market people. Amazing! Who does that in a corporate?! They run a mile mostly. Try finding a corporate phone number in your phone provider that is not a help desk! They all hide behind these convenient help-desk firewalls!
So I am writing a careful letter that says - as you said Streamliner -
- MB used to respect enthusiast / multi-MB familes, but seems to have been lost in these mega markets.
- I want to see to-order customers like me retain ability to get the wider range of vehicles that the factories can make easily. (They even make different model classes ON THE SAME PRODN LINE! Clever stuff) With their factories it matters nothing that every car is different, that's one of their strengths is they have been doing it for decades. Every MB car is build to order! No orders, and they stop the factory and send workers home. Its the dealer that is lazy and orders all the same safe, boring colours and features. So why restrict OUR choice when we do care.
- a separate to-order process for anyone in the world is viable, and will stop the rot from this mega-market bulldozer that is disenfranchising their most loyal customers. They don't need to offer discounts or tricks like dealers do, just give us the full option list like Germans have (I can upload the C-Class full german config list if you want), we'll pay list and be grateful we got the exact car we wanted. Colour, features, accessories. And hey maybe even get the non-runflats we all want.
(Side issue, on my wife's A-class, economy improved at least 15% on swap to normal!)
Others please also do the same, they need to know we care, that we want choice, and we deserve a place in their business. I'm sure anyway they do this for very wealthy people, in some regions, why not leverage the same system globally.

If we don't try, well it might end up our fault. I think this new customer-open dialogue could be a chance. Doesnt hurt to try...
Greg E.
