if you want it right, you'll need to replace the covers on both sides. This painting/dying method is frequently used to improve the looks of torn/worn material. It's not like the old days where tex was super durable and can be repaired. Those days, thanks to cost cutting, are gone. Sorry.
That’s really a shame. My first new MB was a ‘79 450SL, Signal Red with “Bamboo” MB Tex interior. I drove that car almost exclusively with the top down. When I sold it, 7 years later, the interior still looked brand new. I liked the MB Tex so much, I tried to get my next one, an ‘86 560SL with it, but couldn’t or would have had to wait too long, I don’t remember, so ended up with “Palomino” leather, which I did not like as much. Really too bad they cheapened it, as it was an excellent product.

i do not use nothing, except water. Maybe this material (faux leather) needs hydrating cream?

your pics almost look like the seat was torn or cut and repaired, possibly at port. Have you ask MB or your dealer to repair it under warranty?
Same problem, model, year, color. Told by dealer a known issue but no out of warranty coverage. Upholstery shop estimate is $420 to remove/reinstall seat cover and sew in two new panels.
AFAIK The E class the dashboard is MB TEX even if the rest of the interior is leather. My '18 E300 interior gets about 6 hours of direct sun exposure daily. When outside with the windows down and sunroof open so that the heat doesn't build up. There are no issues with the dash drying/cracking. I only use Meguire's products on my car.
mine has the stitching and I was told the dash was leather. Not for sure though
I have the same problem 2018 E300 Machiato Beige 125 upholstry. We don't wear any metal and when I rarely wipe it off I only use a damp cloth. The wear is just the result of our hips rubbing the bolster as we enter and exit the driver's seat. Does anyone have an experience with aftermarket leather replacement seat skins? I googled and found a few vendors. Richmond, Seat Factory in Houston.
