Retrofit OBD Carplay Solution
I have recently purchased a 2018 W213 Mercedes E class estate. The car is fitted with a widescreen audio 20 multimedia system and doesn't have apple car-play. I have seen online in multiple forums that there are a variety of options to retrofit apple car-play into the car, supposedly the best/cheapest option being an aftermarket OBD plug-in which 'activates' apple car-play. I have been pointed in the direction of an eBay account called 'vladimircdi'. Multiple forum users have recommended him, he has plenty of good reviews and seems very professional. But before I commit to purchasing/using one of his aftermarket OBD solutions, I was wondering if there were any reasons I should not use one of these products. Any information at all is appreciated!

I had to buy vladimir's OBD to get Anfroid Auto/Carplay to work on my 2016 W212.
But I thought that by 2018, all the W213s had AA/Carplay as standard from the factory. Is this not true for the W213?
