E 220 d 4Matic Strange noise from suspension/steering?
I own a mercedes w213 e220d 4matic, manufactured in 2017, with 128,000 km. I encounter the following problem: metallic noises are heard when the left wheel passes over average bumps in the road.
I replaced the lower arms, tightened the steering gear, replaced the shock absorber mounts, checked the shock absorbers, tightened the strut bar, checked everything related to the suspension and found nothing weak.i spend my money but no succes.. The noise is still there.
I tried to find the source of the noise by recording the suspension with my phone, but no noise outside at the wheel. I still managed to record the noise from inside, placing the phone next to the steering column near the floor. Has anyone experienced a similar noise? thank you in advance!
P. S. Sound file în attach, you can hear the noise at 0:11
P.P.S Is this play/noise normal ? It is the intermediate steering shaft. Can the noise come from here?
