E450 All Terrain - Air Suspension Randomly Drops/Rises
The front end of my E450S4 with 4000 miles rises randomly which I find disconcerting, especially in traffic at red lights which catches me by surprise.
It can occur after driving 2 miles at local speeds to pick up some groceries then restarting, at red rights around town or even sometimes when starting up after garaged overnight
I am aware it lowers at higher speeds however that is not the situation. I have it in comfort mode all the time.
It's so random that it did not drop after parked for one week.
Anyone else have this issue? I'm thinking a leak or ECU? First service is not for another 6000 miles.
Thanks!

Mine frequently does that as well. Most noticeably I’ll come to a stop light, and after being stationary a few seconds it will adjust itself, sometimes somewhat abruptly. Also aware it lowers at speed in Comfort, but that’s at 78 MPH according to the manual…this is happening in city traffic.
Had two Range Rovers with full air suspension previously, and it always worked unobtrusively in the background. Not something I will be making a special trip to the dealer for, but it has been happening since new. ~3k miles on the car.

Thanks @Konigstiger for your reply. I was hoping it would something simple in a TSB.
@Alan Smithee, Your E450S4 is doing the exact same thing and yes, sometimes abruptly.
I will make an appointment when I have the time.

Purchased 2022 E450 All Terrain in March 2022 and have nearly 4,000 miles on the car. We have the very same issue and it has occurred since day one. There does not seem to be a pattern other than it will lower then raise while stopped at a light or about to park while the car is not level. It is super annoying in that it upsets the driving experience and is an embarrassment. I had it into MB dealer service thinking it was some part of dealer prep. that was missed, like, for example, a piece of tape not removed from a sensor. No errors or problems found. What is more, now I am concerned the car will have a premature failure with the air suspension since it is so active. I drove the car a couple of days ago and it performed this up and down about 6 times in my 200 mile stop and go driving. I suppose I need to spend more time at MB dealer service department to convince them it is a problem for us.

I have a little over 5000 miles on mine, and mine does that too…..been doing that from day 1. It’s load-leveling from what I heard, and is perfectly normal. A bit disconcerting for sure, when it happens, but nothing to be concerned about at all.
