Engine oil level does not display
Did a search of the forum and could not find the answer:
Just had my oil and filter changed at an Indy shop and was able to reset the reminder gauge. Under "Service" the sub menu Assist Plus shows 365 days until next service which is correct.
Here is my problem: I want to see the oil level - but it does not appear. My menu ends with "coolant". My menu will not scroll down any further.
Mercedes instructions for checking the oil lever are:
I cannot scroll to "Engine Oil Level - Measuring Now"
Any thoughts? Help and thanks!

Mercedes instructions for checking the oil lever are:
- Your oil needs to settle before you can accurately read the level. Turn off the engine and wait 5-10 minutes.
- Place your key in the ignition and turn it to position two. (If you have push-button start, simply press the start button without holding down the brake.) Your electronics should come on, but the engine should remain off.
- Use your steering wheel-mounted controls to cycle through menu options until you see “Engine Oil Level — Measuring Now” beneath your instruments.
- Just wait a few moments to get your result!

You are correct!
I thought I had seen it in my cluster and I was trying to find it. What I must have seen is on this forum pictures of oil levels and confused it with my car.
My bad and thanks for the quick response. Much appreciated!

You're most welcome : ) and yes as you already know, the W213 pre-facelift E 350 and facelift E 450 has it in the cluster because as you also know it has a different engine.

Yep, Mercedes gave-up on the electronic oil measuring -- and a return to the old-fashioned dipstick -- with the preceding W212. So I scratched my head when I first read this thread.

Cost cutting? How much extra do they save from each dipstick for every engine, I guess enough for it to matter to them : (

Except then they went back to the electronic oil measuring again, I don't understand the decision... for the M256 and proceeding models. Including the fours, M264, M254, etc.

My 2001 C320 has the electronic system and it still functions well.
